Open Doors and Thanksgiving

Recently on our walk home through the streets of Budapest, we noticed a beautiful, large door opening into a courtyard. The huge door stood open, welcoming those who would like to walk through to the lovely garden beyond. Here in Budapest there are many, many such majestic doors, some open and some closed.

In the past few months we have approached several doors of ministry. We are happy that God has opened these doors and allowed us to walk through them

One open door has been street evangelism on a nearby busy square in downtown Budapest. Striking up a spiritual conversation with strangers may not be for everyone, but Ed thrives on it! A couple of weeks ago one young man came very close to praying for forgiveness, and several have been willing to give their contact information for further discussion.

Another great opportunity is the possible expansion of the hospital ministry into a children’s hospital. We are in the process of getting approvals and exploring the possibilities. Please help us pray. There is a lot of red tape involved, but we feel that if it is God’s plan He will work out everything!

God has also graciously opened a door for us to begin an English circle in the home of our Christian friend, Sara. Sara has a desire to reach out to her neighbors in friendship as a Christian witness, and she asked us to help her. This is an avenue for us to spread the Gospel in a warm and comfortable way to the people in Sara’s neighborhood.

Please help us pray as we walk through these open doors of ministry opportunity!

This is the time of year when our thoughts naturally turn to giving thanks. God has been good to us this year, and we want to thank Him for His blessings. We are so grateful for continued health and strength for the task that He has given to us. We are also deeply grateful for those of you who support us faithfully throughout the year with your finances and prayers. Many of you have also given to our ongoing campaign for the transition center in Slovakia. Our hearts are full of thanks for your thoughtfulness and generosity

If God has blessed you this year and you would like to give a Thanksgiving gift or send a year-end offering, we would deeply appreciate it!  Thank you in advance for your help and your partnership in our ministry! May God give you a blessed Thanksgiving season!
