Hungarian Paprika Chicken

This recipe for Hungarian Paprika Chicken is a real favorite!

1 1/2 pounds chicken pieces

1 large onion, sliced

4 Tablespoons butter

1 1/2 Tablespoons paprika

1 cup chicken broth

1 sweet red pepper, diced

1 tomato, diced

salt and pepper to taste

dash of cayenne pepper (optional)

1/2 cup sour cream

Cook chicken and remove from the bones. Set aside.

Saute onion in butter until clear. Add paprika, chicken, chicken broth, sweet pepper,tomato and spices.

Cover tightly and simmer for 30 min. (add a small amount of water, if necessary).

Stir in sour cream and heat through.

Serve with noodles or Hungarian nokedi.

Serves 3-4.
